For something that held a strong stigma for so long, it’s no easy task to shift perceptions of cannabis from an illicit substance to a symbol of freedom. As the legalization movement grew, I helped RISE to find a new story, one that linked cannabis from its current state all the way back to the founding of our country, and celebrated the concept of freedom in all its forms.

Herman Miller

Future State

The best brands don’t react, they lead. Herman Miller commissioned a series of conversations with artists, designers, architects and more in cities across the country to explore the forces and ideas that were driving the evolving workplace and how creatives were responding.

I helped to synthesize dozens of discussions and presentations into a short book that explored the series and highlighted the big ideas that came from it.

Brand Guide

A brand is more than just a logo, design style, or voice and tone. It’s a feeling. One that communicates who you are and what you stand for in everything you do. For several years, I helped CAT Footwear to refine its brand and voice so that, from the toughest worksites to relaxing days in the city, people knew they could always count on their boots.
